I wrote this to a friend on February 10th, 2010:
'Don't you LOVE it? It was in this old science book that Mrs Westerberg used to have, and I found it again somehow online... I've loved this picture for my whole life.'
This illustration occupied me for a long time in elementary school.
I would wonder if time were not a closed loop in the way that habitable space appears to be for the people living here. I thought: could it be that some cataclysm might bring about the end of human life, the obliteration of all our monuments and artifacts, and, after a time, could such a thing as dinosaurs emerge again and live on earth before their ritual extinction?
But I don't think time does that. Now, I wonder if the people up there would be happy.
